Our days are numbered, and the countdown says there is exactly one month left until the end of the world. It is time to look in the mirror, confront our fears, and see which of our deeds we can be proud of and which are shameful among them.
Creatives will be assisted in this by the Day of Judgment – the largest Croatian independent festival of creative communication.
The third Day of Judgment, or the end of the world according to the Mayan calendar, will take place on December 21, 2012, at 9:12 PM in Zagreb at the Bačva Gallery (Džamija) in the Square of Victims of Fascism.
The Day of Judgment this year gathers a large jury of over 200 creatives who will judge their fellow comrades in arms: designers, copywriters, composers, directors, actors, illustrators, and all others key to the annual creative production.
The Day of Judgment festival is unique in that it does not reward agencies or advertisers but the creatives themselves. It was created to offer creatives a benchmark and motivation to create the most original works possible. In addition, the festival also awards the Young Hope, the most successful student who will receive a mini outdoor campaign from B1 posters as a prize this year, which will help them advertise themselves to secure new jobs and clients in these challenging times for creatives.
This year, on December 21, 2012, at 9 PM, the award ceremony will be hellish as befits a true Day of Judgment. There will be drinking, smoking, and eating greasy food. The best creatives will leave with their heads held high with the Day of Judgment medal, and everyone will have a great time at the Zagreb Džamija in the Square of Victims of Fascism – the organizers announced.
