Government Dismisses Kovač, Kessler at the Helm of Brodosplit Management

With the positive opinion obtained from the State Office for Management of State Property, the Assembly of the company Brodograđevna industrija Split d.d. has been proposed by the Government to dismiss Supervisory Board members Antun Čaglja and Vladimir Kessler and to elect new members Stipe Krželja and Damir Goleš.

The Supervisory Board of the Company is also proposed to revoke the current CEO Srđan Kovač, appoint Vladimir Kessler as the new CEO, and Antun Čaglja as a new member.

The Government of the Republic of Croatia accepted the Annual Report on the Work of the National Commission for the Protection of Civil Aviation for 2011 at the closed part of the 64th session. Based on Article 5 of the Data Secrecy Act (Official Gazette, No. 79/2007), the Report is classified as ‘confidential’, as it pertains to the security interest of the Republic of Croatia, therefore we are unable to publish it in full.

The Review of Legislative Proposals by which the Republic of Croatia adopts the legal acquis of the European Union for 2012 has been adopted, as well as the Review of Sub-Legal Proposals by which the Republic of Croatia adopts the legal acquis of the European Union for 2012. The Government also discussed personnel issues, and proposals are being sent to the Croatian Parliament for the appointment of Jasna Krstović as the President of the National Council for Education and Training, as well as Vlatko Previšić, Nikola Pastuović, Petar Bezinović, Marko Alerić, Dubravka Miljković, Davor Škrlec, Adriana Višnjić Jevtić, Lidija Kralj, Bojana Hribljan, Vlado Prskalo, Lilijana Radobuljac, Tomislav Reškovac, Mirela Lekić, and Ela Pijaca Plavšić as members of the said Council, based on the conducted procedure following the published public call.

Additionally, a unified decision on the dismissal and appointment of some members of the National Council for Sport is being sent to the Parliament. Due to the expiration of mandates, the dismissal of members Zoran Primorac, Zlatko Mateša, Miha Glavić, Ratko Kovačić, Mario Lušić, and Dragan Milanović is proposed. Željko Jerkov has been proposed as a new member at the suggestion of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, based on the conducted procedure following the published public call. Zlatko Mateša and Morana Paliković Gruden have been proposed for appointment as new members at the suggestion of the Croatian Olympic Committee, Ratko Kovačić at the suggestion of the Croatian Paralympic Committee, Mario Lušić at the suggestion of the Croatian Deaf Sports Association, and Dragan Milanović at the suggestion of the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb.

With the positive opinion obtained from the State Office for Management of State Property, the Assembly of Croatia Air Navigation Services d.o.o. is proposed to revoke Supervisory Board members Sanja Steiner and Branka Vine and to elect new members Darko Prebežac and Dinko Staničić. The Supervisory Board is also proposed to elect Darko Prebežac as the Chairman of the Board.

Darko Parić has been appointed as the national promoter of the digital society. Namely, the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso, proposed earlier this year to all EU member states, including Croatia, the appointment of national “digital champions”. This proposal was sent to the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure by the Vice-President of the EC and Commissioner for the Digital Agenda, Neelie Kroes. The national “digital champion” is a person who should promote and encourage access to and use of the internet through their reputation, knowledge, commitment, dynamism, and good networking. Additionally, the digital champion would have an advisory role, proposing measures to relevant state bodies to provide higher quality public digital services at more affordable prices, as well as solutions related to the development of e-government services.

Martina Kobeščak Glavan has been dismissed as a member of the Intergovernmental Mixed Committee for the Implementation of the Agreement between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Hungary on the Protection of the Hungarian Minority in the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian Minority in the Republic of Hungary, Renata Pernek Miklenić has been appointed as a new member, as a representative of the Ministry of the Interior, and Šandor Jakab has been appointed as a new member, as a representative of the Hungarian minority.

The previous President of the Negotiating Committee of the Government of the Republic of Croatia for negotiations on the Basic Collective Agreement for Officials and Employees in Public Services, Neven Mimica, and member Mirando Mrsić have been dismissed, with Mirando Mrsić being appointed as the new President of the said Committee.

In accordance with the Decision on the Establishment of the National Committee for the Suppression of Human Trafficking, the previous members, secretary, and deputy secretary have been dismissed, and a new president, members, secretary, and deputy secretary of the said Committee have been appointed. The dismissed members are Tatijana Vučetić, Vesna Batistić Kos, Gordana Krpičak, Katrin Gluić, Lidija Pentavec, Marijana Valjan Harambašić, Daliborka Rade, Stjepan Adanić, Mirjana Tadić, Marina Kujundžić, Vera Šutalo, Marinka Orlić, Maja Bukša, Ines Loknar Mijatović, Danijela Gaube, Đurđica Kolarec, Sanja Bezbradica, and Dušan Miljuš. The new president of the National Committee is Milanka Opačić, as the Deputy Prime Minister by position, and the new members are Tatijana Vučetić, Ana Vlahović Stanić, Vesna Batistić Kos, Katrin Gluić, Marijana Valjan Harambašić, Lidija Pentavec, Daliborka Rade, Iva Prpić, Mirjana Tadić, Ines Prlić, Marinka Orlić, Branko Sočanac, Maja Bukša, Danijela Gaube, Ankica Paun Jarallah, Đurđica Kolarec, Selma Golubović, and Vesna Roller. Maja Bukša has been reappointed as secretary, and Danijela Gaube has been appointed as the new deputy secretary instead of the previous Ines Loknar Mijatović. Additionally, the previous national coordinator for the suppression of human trafficking, Luka Mađerić, has been dismissed, and Branko Sočanac is the new national coordinator.
