After a month ago, Istrian County Prefect Ivan Jakovčić sued the Ministry of Environmental Protection on behalf of the county at the Administrative Court in Rijeka due to, as he stated, a series of shortcomings regarding the TE Plomin 3 project, he informed the county councilors last night that he has filed a second lawsuit.
Due to the project of the announced coal-fired power plant, this time he sued the Ministry of Construction and Spatial Planning.
We believe that the location permit was not issued validly. Therefore, this is the second lawsuit I have filed on behalf of Istria County against the competent ministry, based on the fact that in the spatial plan of Istria County, the TE in Plomin, if it is ever built, can only be built on gas, and certainly not on coal, stated Prefect Jakovčić.
