The Slovenian energy group Petrol recorded a net profit of 41.9 million euros in the first nine months of this year, which is 16 percent higher than in the same period last year.
Sales revenue amounted to 2.8 billion euros, which is 18 percent higher than last year’s result in the first nine months, Petrol announced on Thursday.
The result of the nine-month operations was confirmed by the supervisory board on Thursday, noting that the company achieved good business results despite tightened business conditions.
In the nine months of this year, Petrol sold 1.9 million tons of petroleum products, nine percent more than in the same period last year, 77.2 million cubic meters of natural gas (six percent more), and 47,500 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (19 percent more). Additionally, 1.9 terawatt-hours of electricity were sold (an increase of 134 percent).
Through the sale of commercial goods, Petrol generated 356.8 million euros in revenue in the first nine months, which is nine percent more than in the nine months last year.
