In Croatia, 1,201 business events were held in the first nine months of this year, with a total of just over 76,000 participants.
The largest number of events, 68 percent, were organized by corporations and companies, reported the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
The largest number of events, 1,126, took place in 91 hotels, while the remaining events were held in other accommodation facilities (17) and at universities, fairs, cultural and other centers (58). In terms of event types, there were the most business meetings, 587, and congresses and conferences, 496. There were 70 incentive trips/events and 48 team-building programs.
In terms of participants, nearly 68 percent of business events were national, while the remaining 32 percent were international.
