The indices of the Zagreb Stock Exchange continued their positive streak for the fourth consecutive day today, supported by a positive technical market picture, with the focus of investors on the shares of Petrokemija, which is also the biggest winner.
Around noon, the Crobex index was up 0.58 percent, at 1,763 points, while Crobex10 was up 0.71 percent, at 997 points. The regular turnover of shares amounted to 5.24 million kuna, which is approximately the same as yesterday at this time.
-Crobex has strengthened for the fourth consecutive day today. The technical picture of the market is positive. On Monday, Crobex bounced off 1,735 points, or from the level where its 50-day moving average crossed the 200-day moving average, which from a technical perspective indicates a long-term positive trend-, says Siniša Gašparević, investment advisor in the Treasury and Investment Banking Sector of Splitsko-dalmatinska Bank.
However, from a fundamental perspective, investors still have no reason for optimism.
-Last year, Croatia ranked 169th out of a total of 185 countries in economic performance. The developed economy of Switzerland achieved a growth rate of 3 percent, the Baltic states between 5 and 7 percent, not to mention Qatar with 20 percent. The government’s forecasts for economic growth next year of only 1.8 percent show that there is still a lack of creativity and ideas, just as has been the case in previous years- assesses Gašparević.
