For the second consecutive year, Helios Vienna Insurance Group organized a gathering with the little ones from the House of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus as part of the Social Active Day project. A donation was presented to the House of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus for the care of children without adequate parental care.
The arrival of actor Adam Končić brought joy to the children, and he himself stated that the gathering with the children deeply touched him. Employees of Helios VIG and their children met the little ones from the House of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus at last year’s Social Active Day gathering. This year, the employees’ children brought their toys for their friends, and they also exchanged appropriate letters, further deepening their friendship. This year, the employees of Helios VIG surprised the residents of the House of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus with an interactive theater performance in which all present children participated.
– We hope that our donation will help make the lives of the children in the House of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus as joyful and simple as possible throughout the year – stated Mr. Azem Raković, a member of the Management Board of Helios VIG.
Social Active Day is part of the socially responsible business of Vienna Insurance Group, supported by the main shareholder, encouraging employees to take time at least once a year for those in greatest need. HELIOS is one of the three subsidiaries of the VIG group that received the ‘Günther Geyer Award for Social Awareness’ this year for its social commitment. These funds enabled the continuation of support for the House of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus.
This year, Helios VIG is expanding the Social Active Day initiative across Croatia. Thus, a life insurance policy worth five thousand euros will be donated to six children from socially disadvantaged families.
