Atlantska plovidba has today taken over a new ship at the Chinese shipyard JEHI, which will sail under the name ‘Jadran’, reported Atlantska plovidba via the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
‘Jadran’ is the fourth newbuilding that Atlantska plovidba has taken over from this shipyard and the 18th ship in the fleet of the Dubrovnik shipping company. Atlantska plovidba did not disclose the price of the ship. The ship ‘Jadran’ is a twin of the ship ‘Argosy’, which was also taken over at the Chinese shipyard JEHI in April of this year.
It is a panamax type ship with a capacity of 79,800 tons, an overall length of 229 meters, a width of 32.26 meters, and a height of 20.25 meters. It is powered by a main engine of 11,620 kilowatts and reaches a speed of 14 knots. The ship has a double hull and is built to navigate through icy waters.
