In a regular monthly telephone survey conducted by Promocija Plus – CroDemoskop, 1300 respondents from all counties rated the Government’s performance at just 2.46.

This is a slight positive shift compared to last month’s 2.40, but a significant decline compared to February when they received a solid 3. The Parliament fared even worse – it received an average rating of 2.40. The best-rated was the one with the least authority – President Josipović, who received a four.

The worst rating went to First Deputy Prime Minister Radimir Čačić – he received 2.09. The best ministers are Predrag Matić (3.39) and Veljko Ostojić (3.36). Looking back five months, we see that the Minister of Veterans has replaced his colleague from tourism at the top. Prime Minister Zoran Milanović was rated a solid three (3.04). Just five months ago, he had a better rating (3.24), and today he is only eighth in popularity within his own government. His party deputy Milanka Opačić received 3.1, and compared to June (2.99) – she is among the few who are improving.

Finance Minister Slavko Linić, the man with the scissors – is not so disliked by respondents. He received a rating of 3.14 and holds a high fifth place in the Government, which is an improvement compared to June. After the phone records scandal, Interior Minister Ranko Ostojić has the same rating as the Prime Minister. Ten members of the Government, led by Branko Grčić, fell below three. A modest 2.89 was received by the Minister of Labor and Pension System Mirando Mrsić. The Minister of Agriculture Tihomir Jakovina barely passed.
