For the second consecutive day, the Crobex indices on the Zagreb Stock Exchange have also fallen into the negative today, primarily influenced by negative movements from abroad, with the stock of Dalekovod leading in price loss.
The Crobex index was down 0.98 percent around noon, at 1,744 points, while Crobex10 was down 0.60 percent, at 984 points. The regular turnover in shares amounted to 2.2 million kuna, which is approximately at the same level as yesterday at this time.
– In the absence of domestic news, trading on the Zagreb Stock Exchange is again influenced by negative movements on foreign exchanges. The turnover is weak, and the stock of Dalekovod is somewhat more in focus for investors, as its price has significantly dropped, still under pressure due to the blockage of the business account of that construction company – says Lav Bernfest, an analyst in the Economic Research Department of Hypo Alpe Adria Bank.
By noon, the stock of Dalekovod achieved a turnover of 674,000 kuna, and its price sank by 7.8 percent to 85.5 kuna. The stock of Valamar Adriatic is also trading slightly more, with a turnover of 629,000 kuna. Its price decreased by 1.28 percent to 106 kuna. The stock of HT, on the other hand, recorded a price drop of 1.09 percent to 209 kuna.
The price of most stocks is in the negative, with significant losses recorded by the stocks of Dioki, whose price sank by 5.7 percent, and Luka Ploče, by 5.18 percent. Among the few gainers, the stocks of Viadukt stand out, which increased by 6.66 percent, and Badel 1862 by 5.57 percent.
On European exchanges, stock prices weakened today for the third consecutive day, as investors are concerned about budgetary problems in Washington and the Greek debt crisis. Currently, the Paris CAC, London FTSE, and Frankfurt DAX are down between 0.11 and 0.62 percent.
