The promotion of the third collection of stories by writer Roman Simić Bodrožić, Nahrani me, which deals with the theme of parenthood, was held at the Profil Mozaik Megastore in Zagreb, and among the abundance of experiences presented, the core of the stories is what remains unspoken.
At the book promotion, there was a demand for extra seating, partly due to the theme but also because of the nature of the writer himself, who captivated the guests with his spontaneity and sincerity. -The book is full of misunderstandings between parents and children, and I have infused it with my parental and childhood experiences, and I consider it to be a book of my exposition, stated Simić Bodrožić.
Miroslav Mićanović, the editor of the book, noted on this occasion that behind the modest title lie important details about who actually expects to be nourished. Although the theme of parenthood is quite a slippery terrain, the writer emphasized emotions. The book does not only talk about parenthood but also about the relationships in the triangle between mother, father, and child. The heroes of the stories measure their lives through everyday situations filled with misunderstandings and love, in which undoubtedly every reader will find themselves.
-From the beginning, Roman has proven to be a writer who is elegantly different. He is a top-notch writer with clearly refined details who has the breath for a longer narrative form. I hope that in the coming years we will promote Roman’s novel as well, concluded literary critic Jagna Pogačnik.
