Russian VTB Bank, Gazprom OJSC, and one bank from Abu Dhabi are interested in acquiring Privredna Banka Beograd, reports the portal Kamatica.com.
According to unofficial announcements, 65 percent of the shares in Privredna Banka Beograd will be offered for sale, which actually represents the state ownership in the institution that has recently, along with Agrobank and the Development Bank of Vojvodina, been classified as problematic.
Serbia has spent around 20 million euros this year alone to stabilize Privredna Banka Beograd, while the bank has been operating at a loss for the last three years.
