Osijek will host Lider’s 48-hour conference where more than 200 participants, including 36 mayors, 7 deputy mayors, and 11 heads of city administrations, will discuss opportunities for new investments.
The conference will be opened by President Ivo Josipović on Thursday, November 8, and participation has been confirmed by Minister of Construction Ivan Vrdoljak, Deputy Minister of Regional Development Jakša Puljiz, Deputy Minister of Finance Boris Lalovac, mayors Krešimir Bubalo, Vojko Obersnel, Dragutin Glavina, Ante Županović, Mladen Karlić, Dario Vasilić, Deputy Mayor Jelena Pavičić Vukičević, and many others.
This year’s meeting, which lasts until November 9, is titled ‘Opportunities for New Investments’, emphasizing that now is the time for all interested partners (mayors, heads, entrepreneurs, government representatives, employees of public companies…) to start implementing projects that can stimulate their local community and make it a desirable place for investment, work, and living.
At this meeting, the only one that gathers such a large number of mayors, heads, and other high representatives of local government along with prominent entrepreneurs, participants can expect a current and carefully prepared conference program.
Discussions will focus on tax reforms and investments in cities, partnerships between entrepreneurs and cities, green concepts and energy-efficient cities, as well as the development of Croatian regions and EU funds.
