The relevant ministries have finally given the green light for the second round of the international tender in which 67 percent of Badel 1862 shares will be sold, allowing the Management Board of the Agency for Management of State Property to convene.
The meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Radimir Čačić, was held on Wednesday, as reported by Poslovni dnevnik, and the government was recommended to approve the entry of a private partner into the struggling alcoholic beverage producer.
Unofficially, it is learned that the government could give the green light for the second round of the tender as early as next week, in which all 11 investors who submitted bids in the first round would have the right to participate. Badel has managed to improve its business results in the first nine months by reducing its loss to 12.95 million kuna.
