A year after the death of Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, a super-luxurious yacht that Jobs designed and obsessively built in the last months of his life was launched into the sea.
The hull of the 80-meter long luxury vessel is entirely made of lightweight aluminum, and the yacht is operated by seven supercomputers. It is named Venus, after the Roman goddess of love, beauty, fertility, prosperity, and victory.
The yacht, built in the Netherlands, south of Amsterdam, will be shown to Jobs’ family and then transported to America by cargo ship.
In gratitude, the family gave each staff member a certificate of appreciation and an iPod Shuffle, on the back of which is inscribed the name of the yacht.
