An anonymous male voice called the reception of RIZ this morning and stated that a bomb had been planted in the factory.
The police were immediately notified, and after a thorough inspection of the factory, they concluded that the threat was false, allowing workers to begin returning to their workplaces at 11 AM.
It seems that there is never enough stress at RIZ, and according to union representative Marina Glokević, it is clearly a case of ‘psychological warfare’.
– It is obviously psychological warfare against the workers of RIZ and the new management. This disrupts delivery as workers are not at their workplaces, all aimed at destabilizing the factory – said the union representative.
Today’s events followed yesterday’s tumultuous day when the new Management, led by President Željko Marić, entered the factory premises after a several-hour protest in front of the factory guarded by security.
Namely, RIZ workers were again in front of the factory, which they were not allowed to enter by the dismissed Management led by Kamilo Vran. Although the Supervisory Board dismissed Vran, the new Management could not enter the company’s premises.
Today, less than 24 hours after entering the factory, workers are again in front of the facility – this time due to a bomb threat.
