The average net salary of employees in legal entities in Zagreb for August this year was 6,417 kuna, which is 106 kuna or nominally 1.7 percent higher than the previous month, according to data from the Statistics Department of the City Office for Strategic Planning and Development of the City of Zagreb.
In comparison to August last year, the average net salary in Zagreb for the eighth month of this year was nominally higher by 0.2 percent or 17 kuna. For the first eight months of this year, the average net salary in Zagreb was 6,366 kuna and was nominally higher by 0.4 percent compared to the same period last year.
The lowest net salaries in Zagreb for August this year were in services related to the management and maintenance of buildings, landscaping and maintenance, amounting to 3,170 kuna, followed by wood processing and wood products at 3,233 kuna, clothing production at 3,235 kuna, protective and investigative activities at 3,292 kuna, leather production and processing at 3,453 kuna, textile production at 3,517 kuna, etc.
The highest average net salary, as usual, is found in Zagreb in management activities; consulting in management, which amounted to 12,508 kuna for August.
In two other sectors, average net salaries were above ten thousand kuna – in air transport, 10,818 kuna, and in advertising (advertising and propaganda) and market research, 10,779 kuna.
Following the average net salaries for August in Zagreb are computer programming, consulting, and related activities with 9,851 kuna, extraction of crude oil and natural gas with 9,480 kuna, production of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations with 8,793 kuna, financial services activities, excluding insurance and pension funds with 8,747 kuna, etc.
