In the first nine months of this year, Dukat recorded a net profit of 62.3 million kuna, which is a decline of 19.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to the Management report, the business was marked by the continuation of strongly negative trends from previous periods, and 2012 is the fourth consecutive year in which slowed growth or profit decline is recorded.
– Despite internal savings programs and optimization of business processes, the company’s profitability could not be maintained at last year’s level – they say at Dukat.
Sales revenue in the domestic market decreased by 1.7 percent to 1.18 billion kuna, while export revenue decreased by 10 percent to 143.6 million kuna. Business revenues amount to 1.34 billion kuna, down 2.5 percent, while operating profit fell by 14.6 percent to 70.5 million kuna.
Current assets decreased by 41.1 million kuna due to a reduction in inventories and advances as well as a decrease in receivables, cash, and securities. Dukat’s total liabilities in the first nine months of this year amount to 369.4 million kuna and have decreased by 22.9 percent compared to the beginning of the year.
