Osijek’s Saponia achieved a profit of 10.4 million kuna in the first nine months of this year, representing a growth of 1.4 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the company’s financial report published on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
In foreign markets, sales amounted to 220.3 million kuna, with a growth of 2.1 percent, continuing the multi-year trend of growth in exports, as stated in the explanation of business results. Revenue from sales in the Croatian market amounts to 245.3 million kuna, an increase of 18.6 percent, thanks to, as noted, a new sales strategy and quality marketing projects.
The company states that it continuously continues to optimize business processes for more efficient cost management. In the observed period, Saponia’s total expenses amount to 470.8 million kuna, an increase of 10.8 percent. Financial risks expressed through the effects of market prices, interest rates, and exchange rates affect the company’s operations, particularly through the ability to collect receivables from customers while simultaneously settling its obligations to suppliers. Nevertheless, in line with the achieved business results, Saponia’s liquidity is satisfactory, it is stated. At the end of the reporting period, Saponia employs 876 workers.
