The average net salary of employees in legal entities in Zagreb for October of last year amounted to 6,277 kuna, which is an increase of 63 kuna or nominally one percent compared to the salary for September.
Compared to October of last year, it is higher by 139 kuna or 2.3 percent, according to data from the Statistics Department of the City Office for Strategic Planning and Development of the City of Zagreb. Salaries for October were paid in November, so their amount was influenced by the abolition of the crisis tax at a rate of 4 percent on salaries over 6,000 kuna. The average salary for October for employees in the Zagreb economy was 6,265 kuna, while outside the economy it was 6,308 kuna. According to specific sectors, the lowest average net salaries for October in Zagreb were earned by employees in services related to the management and maintenance of buildings and landscaping – 3,150 kuna.
In the clothing manufacturing sector, the average net salary for September was 3,210 kuna, while employees in protective and investigative activities earned an average of 3,339 kuna. In contrast, in two sectors, the average salaries for October were above ten thousand kuna – in management activities; consulting related to management had an average net salary of 14,015 kuna, and in advertising (promotion and propaganda) and market research, it was 10,585 kuna. The average gross salary in Zagreb for October was 9,321 kuna, which is an increase of 104 kuna or 1.1 percent compared to September.
