Gas and Electricity Prices Remain the Same for Now

Following yesterday’s confirmation in the Parliament, Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor held the last government session of the year at the Banski Dvori with new ministers.

At the end of the year, confirmation was received from the closed part of the session regarding the extension of the decision to subsidize electricity prices for households until the end of June and gas prices throughout 2011. Previous decisions were valid until the end of this year, and the government has now extended them, so citizens and households will continue to pay for electricity and gas at the current prices, it was announced from the Banski Dvori. During the closed part of the government session, a decision was made to implement a special measure to mitigate the increase in natural gas prices for households in 2011. The new decision for 2011 establishes that households supplied with gas under the tariff system for natural gas supply, with the exception of privileged customers, will also pay an increase of 15 percent this year, while the remaining part will be secured for the natural gas supplier from the state budget of the Republic of Croatia for 2011, through the implementation of a special measure to mitigate the increase in natural gas prices for households in 2011, reports the portal hrt.hr.
