The kuna has weakened against the euro by 0.04 percent today according to the exchange rate list of the Croatian National Bank (HNB), standing at 7.389067 kuna per average exchange rate, while the Swiss franc has reached its new record value.
The average exchange rate of the franc on today’s established exchange rate list of the HNB is 5.917408 kuna, što is an increase of 0.40 percent compared to yesterday’s exchange rate list. In relation to the exchange rate list of the HNB that was valid on the first day of this year, the exchange rate of the franc on today’s exchange rate list of the central bank is higher by as much as 20.3 percent. The value of the kuna against the švicarskim frankom is determined by the relationship between the franc and the euro in the global market. Concerns about the debt crisis in the eurozone are prompting investors in international currency markets to seek safe haven in the švicarskim frankom, which is perceived as a safe currency. On today’s established exchange rate list of the HNB, the US dollar has gained one percent against the kuna compared to yesterday, and the value of the British pound has increased by 0.76 percent. The average exchange rate of the dollar on today’s exchange rate list of the HNB is 5.633199 kuna and that of the pound is 8.667527 kuna. (H)
