The Director of the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP), Davor Majetić, stated today while commenting on the proposed changes in the Government that too little time has passed for any in-depth analysis, but that the people proposed for new ministers come from real business, have experience and results behind them, and he believes they are capable of doing the job. In this sense, we are optimistic, but we must be cautious as they have a short deadline (one year), he said.
He considers attracting investments to be important and hopes that a lot will be done in that direction, he said, referring to the introduction of a new position of Deputy Prime Minister for Investments for which Domagoj Milošević, the Chairman of the Management Board and majority owner of Pastor Group and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HUP, has been proposed.
It is important that things start moving, said Majetić. Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor proposed today to the Parliament that Martina Dalić be appointed as the new Minister of Finance, Davor Božinović as Minister of Defense, Branko Bačić as Minister of Environmental Protection, Spatial Planning and Construction, and Jasen Mesić as the new Minister of Culture.
