Zvečevo Celebrates Its Ninetieth Birthday

Since the first production of Braco and Seka chocolates in 1957, a total of 1.4 billion have been sold, according to a statement from Zvečevo.

Braco and Seka, one of Zvečevo’s most recognized brands, is also the oldest chocolate brand in the region and has been part of Croatia’s collective memory since the 1960s. When they first appeared on the market, Braco and Seka chocolates were simply named „Milk Chocolate“, but due to the charming image of a girl on the packaging, customers affectionately named it Seka, who soon got her Braco.  Aromatic varieties of cocoa and fresh cream processed according to a special Zvečevo method are used in the production of these chocolates.

„The figure of 1.4 billion Braco and Seka chocolates shows how customers have recognized the tradition and quality behind it for over 50 years. Braco and Seka is one of our most famous brands, but also one of the oldest chocolate brands in Croatia. Alongside nurturing our recognizable brands, Zvečevo continuously monitors market needs and creates new flavors. The number of sold Braco and Seka chocolates is a beautiful start to the celebratory year of 2011 when we mark the 90th anniversary of our business“, emphasized Zvečevo’s CEO Krunoslav Alvir.

In addition to Braco and Seka, Zvečevo also launched the first rice chocolate – Mikado, back in 1964, and the only chocolate in the world that offers three different flavors in one bar – I Love You. Zvečevo continuously proves its quality and innovation by introducing new flavors and products, for which it has won numerous awards, including a gold medal from the world quality assessment institution Mond Selection in Brussels.
