Retail Trade Turnover in Positive for Four Consecutive Months

Retail trade turnover in Croatia increased nominally by 1.5 percent in October this year compared to October last year, and real growth was 0.3 percent, according to the first data released today by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.

October marks the fourth consecutive month of real year-on-year growth in retail trade turnover, although the growth has somewhat slowed compared to September. Retail trade turnover in September this year increased by 0.4 percent in real terms compared to September last year, while in August, the real year-on-year growth was 3.9 percent, and in July, it was 0.7 percent. Retail trade turnover in July of this year increased for the first time after 21 months of consecutive declines in year-on-year retail sales. (H)
