B.net Repeated Revenue Growth of 30 Percent

The revenue growth of the alternative telecom operator B.net Croatia has exceeded 30 percent for the second consecutive business year, according to the financial report for the business year 2010, which ended on September 30, 2010. Revenues amounted to 202.6 million kuna, which is 49.3 million kuna more than in the previous business year when revenues were 153.3 million kuna.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization – continue to grow steadily this year. The net increase in 2010 amounted to 42.9 million kuna, and the EBITDA share in revenues is 29.72 percent. In comparison, the net increase in EBITDA in 2009 was 11.1 million kuna, and the share in revenues was 11.26 percent. EBIT – earnings before interest and taxes – increased this year to 14.67 million kuna, što is an increase of 35.4 million kuna compared to last year. With positive EBIT, B.net has become the first fully profitable "alternative" telecom operator in Croatia. – In just three years since its establishment, B.net can boast positive business operations, što we consider a great success given the difficult economic conditions and the demanding Croatian telecommunications market in which we operate. At the same time, we have gone through a significant investment cycle and a substantial technical upgrade of our network, and the new technologies and services for which it is ready will enable us, we believe, to achieve double-digit revenue and EBITDA growth in the next business year –  commented the annual results by the CEO of B.net Croatia, Adrian Ježina, who was recently named the best manager in Croatia in the medium-sized companies category by CROMA. The company achieved significant growth in all segments of its business during 2010.

In November of this year, B.net surpassed the number of 50,000 broadband internet users and 50,000 fixed telephony users. In the business year 2010, B.net increased the number of its broadband internet users by 60 percent, and the number of fixed telephony users by as much as 92 percent. This was largely contributed by, they say at B.net, the most favorable 3D package on the market (currently the only one that includes an internet connection with a maximum speed of 8 Mbps) as well as particularly favorable packages for fixed telephony. The cable television segment also continued to grow, and B.net increased the number of users in this segment by about 9 percent in 2010. In addition to residential, there is also noticeable growth in the business user segment, which has paid more attention to optimizing their operations and reducing costs during the recessionary year. Revenue from business users now accounts for about 15 percent of the company’s revenue, and in this segment, a growth of 16 percent was achieved during the business year 2010. B.net today has more than a thousand business users, of which about three hundred use the entire portfolio of B.net’s advanced telecommunications services, while more than 700 business users utilize hosting, mail, and broadband services. Over the past 12 months, the company has achieved a number of notable results in the market: it is leading in the growth of broadband internet users among all "alternative" operators, the highest number of fixed telephony numbers is being transferred to B.net, and almost half of all users today already use one of the multiplay (2D/3D) packages.
