The new label design for Kutjevo wines and the most modern Stelvin lux closure technology, which will adorn 13 selected bottles of wine from the Kutjevo winery, were presented today at the Bornstein wine shop.
Stelvin is an aluminum wine closure system that has shown excellent results in preserving wine in the bottle. Its main advantage is the ability to practically open and close the wine bottle while providing maximum protection of the wine from the effects of oxygen for a period of three to five years. Testing has shown that identical wines bottled under a standard cork and a Stelvin lux closure aged 7 years exhibit significantly better organoleptic characteristics under the Stelvin closure. The Stelvin closure was developed by sommeliers with the intention of preserving the condition and quality of white and red wines for as long as possible, as well as enhancing the impression when serving the wine.
The advantages of the new closure were explained at the press conference by enologist Ivica Perak. According to him, a compound called TCA (trichloroanisole) appears in about two to three percent of corks, which leaves an unpleasant odor when opening the bottle, which is why more and more global wine brands and winemakers are switching to aluminum closures. In addition to the new closure technology, the Kutjevo winery also presented a new label design for its wines at the conference. During the redesign, explained marketing director Ivan Bušić, they aimed to preserve the simplicity and recognizability of the Kutjevo brand while simultaneously making it more modern. The event also featured the premiere of an advertisement created from the creative idea of the market communication agency TBWAZagreb. (A. K.)
