In 2010, Seven Advertisers Disappeared

Seven advertisers have been removed from the HGK Register of Newspaper Publications since the beginning of the year. The primary cause for the shutdown of these advertisers is the crisis in the Croatian real estate market.

The Oglasnik group also shut down one publication this year – the Info Nekretnine advertiser, specialized in the Istria and Kvarner regions, which Oglasnik purchased from Info Medije just two years ago. Last year, the CREM – Croatia Real Estate Magazine advertiser was also shut down, which Oglasnik acquired as part of the same acquisition. According to the CEO of Oglasnik, Gordan Putanec, the aforementioned advertisers have temporarily ceased publication due to weak demand in the real estate market and consequently weak interest from advertisers. In addition to the crisis affecting the optimization of the printed publication portfolio, Putanec states that the company’s increasing orientation towards the web has also had an impact. (A. K.
