After receiving the Shooting Stars award for one of the most promising European actresses at this year’s Berlinale and awards for Best Actress at festivals in Pula, Alexandria, Herceg Novi, and Pristina, Zrinka Cvitešić’s nomination for the European Film Award 2010 is certainly the pinnacle of everything she has achieved in the past year with the film ‘On the Road’, writes Nacional.hr.
Following the voting of 2,200 members of the European Film Academy, actress Zrinka Cvitešić has been nominated in the category ‘Best European Actress 2010’ for her role as Luna in the film ‘On the Road’ directed by Jasmila Žbanić. Alongside Zrinka Cvitešić, the other four nominated actresses are: German actress Sibel Kekilli for her role in the film ‘When We Leave’ directed by Feo Aladag, British actress Lesley Manville for her role in the film ‘Another Year’ directed by Mike Leigh, Austrian actress Sylvie Testud for her role in the film ‘Lourdes’ directed by Jessica Hausner, and Dutch actress Lotte Verbeek for her role in the film ‘Nothing Personal’ directed by Urszula Antoniak.
