The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission today began its one-week stay in Croatia as part of the regular consultations under Article IV of the IMF’s Articles of Agreement.
According to sources, during the continuation of the visit, which will last until November 12, several meetings are planned for IMF Mission members at the Croatian National Bank and the Ministry of Finance, followed by discussions with representatives of the Government, the President’s Office, the Parliament, representatives of several major banks, the Croatian Privatization Fund, the Economic Institute, and the Institute of Public Finance, as well as in several other state institutions, and with representatives of the World Bank Office in Croatia, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Office, and the EU Delegation in Croatia. During these meetings, it is unofficially learned that discussions will focus on the latest macroeconomic indicators and projections of monetary and fiscal policy for the upcoming period, as well as measures being taken to overcome the crisis and recover the economy.
