Just ten days after being released from custody, Ivana Mravka, the former head of HEP, is under police protection. Mravak has likely disturbed many with his testimonies at USKOK, but whether he has received any specific threats in the meantime is unknown, reports hrt.hr.
Namely, Mravak spent hours and hours at USKOK, saying a lot. His lawyer states that he spoke the truth, and it is clear that not everyone is thrilled with this fact. The assessment of the relevant services was that his life was in danger, whether it is his life or that of his family, and that is why he received police protection, stated Mravak’s attorney Branko Šerić. However, part of Mravak’s testimony has leaked to the media, and USKOK immediately reacted by requesting an investigation from the police into who provided the media with parts of the confidential testimony. I join the investigation of USKOK and I would ask, love, and request that all participants in the proceedings be questioned, and I am personally ready for a polygraph to show that it was not me, said Šerić. The leaking of information is nothing new, but in this case, it clearly greatly hinders the investigation. The investigation into the HEP affair is somewhere halfway, and the trial could begin in the spring. (www.hrt.hr)
