Marli watch becomes the official watch of Croatian Olympians

The watch from Marli has become the official watch of Croatian Olympians, and Marli is a sponsor of the Croatian Olympic Committee. In the HOO in Zagreb, Luka Marinović, the director of Marli, and Josip Čop, the secretary general of HOO, signed a sponsorship agreement worth 270,000 kuna under which Marli will award watches of domestic production to our winners at the Olympic Games.

According to Zlatko Mateše, the president of HOO, the 270,000 kuna will be spent on sending Croatian athletes to the Olympic Games in London 2012, and a special series of Marli watches will be ready for the winners at the games in London. – This agreement clearly shows our marketing strategy that aims to connect  top sports with the best Croatian companies. ‘At HOO, we believe that top sports is the best advertisement for Croatia and it is necessary to link domestic companies with the names of our best athletes to open new export markets for those companies,’ said Mateša during the signing of the agreement.
The watch that Croatian medalists at the Olympic Games will receive as a gift is produced in Croatia, and according to Luka Marinović, Marli will be represented alongside other domestic companies at the Croatian House at the Olympic Games in London.

– The watch is designed and produced in Croatia, while we imported some parts that we could not produce ourselves from abroad. It is a Croatian product that will be produced in limited series for the Olympians and will not be available for sale – said Luka Marinović. There are just over 660 days left until the Olympic Games in London, and as Zlatko Mateša says, the Croatian Olympic Committee will continue to work on ensuring that, in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Croatian Tourist Board, and other partners, our companies secure the best possible position at the games in London, meaning that the Croatian Olympic Committee, in addition to its primary sports function, will serve economic diplomacy.
