The construction company Zagorje – Tehnobeton has opened a factory for reinforced concrete centrifugal poles, Tehnoburimi, in Mitrovica, Kosovo, with an investment of 5.2 million euros, as announced by Zagorje – Tehnobeton.
Zagorje – Tehnobeton is the majority owner of the new factory, which was built in collaboration with the Kosovo company Burimi. Construction began in the summer of last year, and in March, trial production commenced, along with training for workers on technology and production processes. The product range consists of reinforced concrete centrifugal poles for medium and low voltage networks. With an annual capacity of 25,000 poles, the factory can largely meet the demand for poles throughout the region, the announcement states. It is planned, as added, to expand the product range, primarily to include the production of prefabricated concrete elements used in high-rise construction and transportation infrastructure, as well as concrete accessories. Due to the expansion of the product range, additional workers will need to be hired, so the number of employees could increase from the current 35 to at least 50, according to Zagorje – Tehnobeton.
