The Croatian Dairy Association, in collaboration with the City Office for Education, Culture and Sports and the City Office for Agriculture and Forestry of the City of Zagreb, organized the celebration of ‘World School Milk Day’ again this year.
The central event took place on Wednesday, September 29, at Ban Josip Jelačić Square in Zagreb, with a special program dedicated to milk starting at 11 a.m. As the leading food company in Croatia, Vindija makes a significant contribution to this international event, which it enriches each year with products from its dairy range. This year, the company from Varaždin delighted Croatian schoolchildren with as much as 100 liters of their favorite products, ‘z bregov chocolate milk and Popy shake, which were distributed at Vindija’s ‘milk’ stand.
The Varaždin company also participated in a commendable humanitarian action called ‘Croatian Dairy Farmers Donate to Children with Special Needs’, donating its products to students of Grigor Vitez Elementary School in Zagreb. At the main square in Zagreb, Vindija was joined by students from the sixth elementary school in Varaždin, who presented their artistic works on the theme of milk. An additional surprise for all present was the performance of Tihomir Bendelja, a star of Supertalent and Vindija’s special guest, who showcased his twirling skills. As healthy nutrition is crucial for proper child growth and development, Vindija pays great attention to creating its products specifically for children, while its dairy range marked as Quality Vindija is already an integral part of student school meals.
