The company HG Spot finished in the black for the first time in two and a half years in June. Hrvoje Prpić, one of the founders and now an advisor to the Management Board, announced that the positive trend continues and that since the beginning of September, after the usual summer stagnation, they have been recording daily sales growth and a positive balance.
In the monthly report that HG Spot submits to the bank, they expect to report a positive EBITDA for the month of September. To achieve this, a turnover of about 330,000 kuna per day is needed, and to be able to repay loans of 530,000 kuna. The current average for HG Spot this month is 360,000 kuna. – Two or three months ago, I was not this optimistic, however, sales are increasing, business is stable, and customer trust is returning. We expect that next year will be so good that we will be able to repay or be close to repaying interest, said Prpić. At the end of the year, HG Spot will have 50 million kuna in loans due, however, given the good trend in business, the Management Board expects that there will be no problems in negotiations with banks regarding extending the deadline. The company currently operates with 16 stores and 85 employees, and plans to open a store in the western part of the city. A loyalty program for cash and wire transfer payments will soon be introduced for customers. (Kristina Kardum)
