The Innovators Society Sigma, the Energy and Renewable Energy Society of the City of Zagreb Delta, and the Entrepreneurs Association in Energy and Environmental Protection Ekoenergo, with the assistance of the international consulting firm TPA Horwath, have established the Energy Association of Zagreb, according to a press release.
The Association was founded as a regional-interest and unique non-profit organization for the area of the City of Zagreb and the Republic of Croatia in the systems of energy development and renewable energy sources, reduction of energy consumption, systematic and continuous monitoring of electricity consumption, informing and easier organized planning of the annual energy balance, management and maintenance of real estate, planning further measures to reduce energy consumption, easier decision-making on investment priorities due to the possibility of objective analyses, systematic creation of energy policy, informing citizens about the efficient use of energy in households, and environmental preservation. The official opening will be held on the occasion of World Tourism Day, September 27, with a special emphasis on its future activities related to environmental protection, biodiversity, and sustainable development.
