Another Indictment Against Polančec

USKOK has raised another indictment against former Deputy Prime Minister Damir Polančec and seven other individuals. Polančec is accused of having, as Deputy Prime Minister responsible for the economy and Minister of Economy, as well as President of the Management Board of the Croatian Privatization Fund, which decides on the sale of 26 percent of Podravka shares, connected the defendants in order to take over Podravka through economic malfeasance.

As a result, the company was damaged by 400 million kuna. The accused include Darko Marinac, Zdravko Šestak, Josip Pavlović, Saša Romac, as well as the owner and director of the Split company SMS, Srđan Mladinić, co-owner of the Varaždin Fima Group Milan Horvat, and lawyer Zoran Marković.
