Based on an anonymous tip regarding non-transparent salary allocations within the Zagreb Holding Directorate, the State Inspectorate has been investigating the entire case in the Directorate building on Vukovarska since the beginning of this week, reports the portal zagrebancije.com.
According to Zagrebancije’s sources close to Chief Inspector Kruno Kovačević, the President of the Holding Management Board, Ivo Čović, will have to answer questions about how he unilaterally determined coefficients and salary levels at the top of the Holding Directorate with a regulation he himself issued, without the approval of the City Office for Economy and outside the prescribed criteria. However, what is also interesting to the inspectors is the fact that at least two employees with secondary education are employed in positions that require higher education with coefficients designated for higher education. These are Davor Šarić and Zlatko Franc, the coordinator of operations and the head of the department for which Branimir Delić, a member of the Holding Management Board and Ivo Čović’s right-hand man, is responsible. Both employees came to these positions from HEP, where both Delić and Čović also worked before joining the Holding. According to the payroll list from October of last year, which the portal Zagrebancija.com possesses, Franc has a net salary of 13,000 kuna, while Šarić has slightly more than 10,000 kuna.
