How to Harness the Power of YouTube

In the history of marketing, the best marketing places have always been those where the most people could be found, whether it is a city square, market, hotel, train station, or airport. Today, these places are replaced by virtual ones like MySpace, Twitter, and YouTube, writes the portal aboutpublicrelations.net.

Currently, there are more than 150 million videos on YouTube, many of which have been viewed millions of times. While many businesspeople know how to share videos via YouTube with family and friends, few know how to leverage it for profit. Scott Lorenz from Westwind Communications maximally utilizes YouTube to showcase his clients.

– I always see an opportunity for any type of client I work with, whether I represent doctors, lawyers, translators, or charitable organizations. For example, through YouTube, I helped the organization Angel Acres Horse Haven Rescue to rank among the top 10 in the competition for animal shelter renovations organized by Zootoo.com, which had a prize of one million dollars, says Lorenz.

One of Lorenz’s clients, Mr. Duey, a teacher who uses music to teach children math, achieved great success with the video ‘Mr. Duey Fractions’, which can be viewed on Teachers Tube. This video also made it into the Top 10 of all time on that site with over half a million views. Scott Lorenz has achieved significant success through the YouTube application, which uses video ‘trailers’ for the marketing promotion of various books. To engage the public for some clients who are book authors, he designed ‘trailers’ for the books, allowing clients to briefly ‘preview’ what the book is about. In this way, the book is ‘brought to life’. A particularly useful aspect is that due to the high traffic of the ‘trailers’, the traffic to his main page also increases through search engines.  (R. R.)
