In the attractive Lošinj bay of Čikat, surrounded by centuries-old pine forests, Croatian Railways, specifically HŽ Infrastruktura d.o.o., is selling a property, the buildings of a former resort and restaurant, with a starting price of 21.2 million kuna, writes novilist.hr.
The complex covers an area of 15.531 square meters. After the division of Croatian Railways, and in preparation for the privatization of Railway Hospitality on September 27, 2007, Railway Hospitality handed over the resort to HŽ Infrastruktura. The head of Corporate Communications of Croatian Railways, Vlatka Škorić, states that the management decided to sell at the suggestion of HŽ Nekretnina, which proposed that properties not in use for railway traffic and not related to the core business be commercialized or sold. The sale is part of the business policy of HŽ Infrastruktura aimed at increasing the company’s revenue and reducing unnecessary costs. (www.novilist.hr)
