Third Adriatic Boat Show from September 16 to 19 in Šibenik

The third nautical fair, the Adriatic Boat Show, organized by the Šibenik Nautical Center Prgin (NCP), will take place from September 16 to 19 at the Mandalina marina in Šibenik, it was announced at today’s press conference.

The interest of exhibitors for this international fair of new and used vessels is high again this year, but given the difficult market conditions, their response is expected to be the same as last year, if not slightly higher, according to the fair director Ivana Prgin. Despite the recession, the organizer is preparing a series of innovations that will be incorporated into the fair program, and Prgin also announced the first Croatian nautical forum with the support of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.

The forum will discuss current topics in the nautical sector, the difficulties of an industry that has fallen into a major crisis due to the recession, and about a hundred participants are expected, including representatives from several ministries, chambers, and nautical companies. The goal of the forum, says Prgin, is not only to debate the issues but to find concrete solutions to the difficulties faced by nautical companies. Prgin also announced a round table on creating a city brand, where, among other things, photographs of Šibenik by the renowned artist Ivo Pervan will be presented. The organizers expect the third Adriatic Boat Show to be opened by Croatian President Ivo Josipović. (H)
