The oil company OMV Croatia today increased the prices of unleaded motor gasoline at its gas stations by 31 lipas per liter due to the rise in excise duties on unleaded motor gasoline.
According to the price list published by OMV on its website, starting today, OMV eurosuper 95 BS carrera is sold at a price of 4.48 kuna per liter (previously 8.17), and OMV eurosuper 100 BS carrera at 8.48 kuna per liter (previously 8.53 kuna). The government regulation on the amount of excise duty on unleaded motor gasoline, which increased these duties by 25 lipas per liter, came into effect yesterday, September 1, and some oil companies already raised the prices of unleaded gasoline by 31 lipas per liter yesterday.
OMV Croatia did not increase prices yesterday, but did so today, resulting in the price of the most common gasoline, eurosuper 95, rising to 4.48 kuna. The government, at last week’s session, increased the excise duty on unleaded motor gasoline from the previous 1.65 kuna (when the highway and road fee of 1.20 kuna is added, the excise duty amounts to 2.85 kuna) to 1.90 kuna (3.10 kuna with highway and road fees). The beginning of next week (September 7) is also the date for the regular bi-weekly price adjustment based on the Regulation on the Determination of Prices of Oil Derivatives. (H)
