After the Government Regulation on the amount of excise duty on unleaded motor gasoline came into effect today, increasing these duties by 25 lipa per liter, some oil companies, such as OMV Croatia and Lukoil Croatia, did not raise the prices of unleaded gasoline today, while others, like INA and Petrol, increased the prices of this type of derivative by 30 or 31 lipa per liter.
"OMV Croatia did not raise fuel prices at its gas stations today," the company briefly responded to inquiries about retail prices following the implementation of the Government Regulation. Lukoil Croatia also emphasizes that they did not change the prices of unleaded gasoline last night.
"The formation of retail prices for petroleum derivatives by Lukoil Croatia in the future will depend on market conditions and legal regulations, so during the next calculation of retail prices for petroleum derivatives on September 7, the new amount of excise duty on motor gasoline will be included, and whether there will be an increase in retail price or not is difficult to predict today," the company stated.
INA, on the other hand, responds that it follows the applicable legal regulations in its operations and that, consequently, from September 1, it will apply the increase in prices of unleaded motor gasoline in accordance with the Regulation on the amount of excise duties. According to the price list published on INA’s website, the prices of unleaded motor gasoline have increased today by 30 or 31 lipa per liter, or on average by 3.8 percent. Thus, eurosuper BS 95 and super plus 98 are now sold at INA’s stations for 8.48 kuna per liter, which is 31 lipa more than the previous 8.17 kuna, while Super 95 has increased by 30 lipa, from 8.00 to 8.30 kuna. Petrol has also raised the prices of unleaded motor gasoline by 31 lipa per liter when comparing yesterday’s and today’s prices published on its website.
