Lek Zagreb Now Operating in the Croatian Market Under the Name Sandoz

The pharmaceutical company Lek Zagreb will now operate in the Croatian market under the name Sandoz, it was announced today by the company. The Swiss Sandoz acquired the Slovenian Lek in 2002, and since then, the renaming of its affiliated companies has been ongoing.

Lek has operated in Croatia under the name Lek Zagreb for the last two decades. The company has been present in Croatia with its products since 1946. Sandoz is a pharmaceutical company based in Switzerland, operating in 130 countries, with products available to 90 percent of the world’s population. The core of its business consists of generic medicines for all therapeutic areas, and the company currently produces more than 950 generic medicines in over five thousand pharmaceutical forms.
