If he pays 11.45 million kuna within the next month, Josip Martišković, owner of Ljevaonica Duga Resa and Kontex, should become the new owner of the KGK chemical products factory for construction, which is in bankruptcy. Specifically, a public auction for the mentioned factory was held on Friday at the Commercial Court in Karlovac, and Martišković was the only bidder.
Martišković has been known to the wider Croatian public for a year now due to his unsuccessful purchase of the Cotton Industry Duga Resa. At that time, he also offered the highest price (19.7 million kuna) at the auction but was unable to finalize the purchase due to the inability to close the financial structure in an arrangement with Karlovačka banka. Besides the Cotton Industry, he also lost half a million in deposits. Regarding the details of the business plan related to KGK, Martišković, having learned from his bad experience with the Cotton Industry, did not want to speak until he formally becomes the owner of KGK. He only stated that this time the financial situation is arranged because the interests of Karlovačka banka and his already existing factories coincided. (Mladen Volarić)
