Beli Manastir Hosts Regional IT Experts

The Microsoft community of development engineers MsCommunity Osijek and the Croatian Association of Programmers, in collaboration with Microsoft Croatia and with the support of INETA and the Microsoft Information Center in Varaždin, is organizing the third KulenDayz 2010 Conference from September 3 to 5, 2010.

The conference will be held at the Patria Hotel in Beli Manastir, where 35 speakers and IT experts from the USA, Belgium, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Croatia will present on current topics in the IT field. KulenDayz is a completely non-commercial conference aimed primarily at being „different“; therefore, in addition to the usual classic lectures, it offers informal „Chalk & Talk“ sessions under the pavilions in the ethno village. More specifically, this means no PowerPoint, laptops, or laser pointers, but rather a board and chalk. The topics covered by this year’s conference are predominantly technically oriented, with an emphasis on new products and technologies, so we can expect presentations on topics such as Advanced Development, Databases, System Infrastructure, and Project Management/Architecture. The Microsoft Information Center from Varaždin will equip a special room with hands-on labs where all participants can test the latest Microsoft technologies.

– Microsoft has always based its development and growth on the development of the community of its partners and individuals. The partnership model in Croatia today is built on over 1,000 partner companies and over 22,000 people who directly or indirectly work with Microsoft products, creating solutions that change our world. Knowledge transfer and experience exchange have always been an essential part of this partnership model. Today, the already traditional KulenDayz in Beli Manastir is truly a unique event where the Microsoft community exchanges ideas and knowledge in an interesting and original way, where top experts with international experience spend time together, and with a local and original approach, create a different conference from those we are used to. Microsoft has been a partner of the conference from the very beginning and sees great value in it – stated Ratko Mutavdžić, Technology Director and Head of the Public Sector Group at Microsoft Croatia.
