Combis, a Croatian system integrator in collaboration with Phaeros Group BVBA and the Port Authority of Rijeka, has signed a contract for the implementation of an electronic data exchange system worth 1.1 million euros.
The project for the development of the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) communication system for the Port Authority of Rijeka is financed by a loan from the World Bank and is the first such project in the region. Combis anticipates the project duration to be one year, and upon its completion, the Port Authority of Rijeka will be able to enhance communication by consolidating all communication channels in one place for all participants in port operations (agents, freight forwarders, customs, police, railways…etc.). In this way, all mentioned users will be ensured timely transfer of information regarding the arrival of ships and cargo, as well as all other services related to port operations.

The expert team from Combis and Phaeros will deliver the complete infrastructure and software solution for the EDI system, design and implement the system, and integrate it with the existing systems at the Port Authority of Rijeka.
