The Hotel Croatia in Cavtat reported today that as of the beginning of this week, Željko Rešetar is no longer a member of the Management Board of Hotel Croatia d.d. nor the director of this most important five-star hotel in Cavtat, nor is he employed in the companies of the Lukšić Group.
This was reported by Hotel Croatia, as they state, on behalf of the Supervisory Board of Hotel Croatia d.d. and the Supervisory Board of Atlas hotel Odisej d.o.o., of which Rešetar was also a member of the Management Board until now. Both of these hotel companies operate within the Lukšić Group, and as they add, all management duties have been taken over by the president of the management of both companies, Camilo Soza, after Rešetar’s departure. Although Hotel Croatia did not specify the reasons for Rešetar’s departure, it is unofficially learned that the termination of the employment relationship occurred at Rešetar’s request due to personal reasons. Rešetar has been the director of Hotel Croatia since October 2008, when he replaced Georg Weidlander, whose predecessor was the long-time director Frano Tomšić. It is also not officially known who will succeed Rešetar, but it is learned from Hotel Croatia that this will not disrupt their operations, which this season, similar to other hotel companies in the Dubrovnik area, is better than last year. Their capacities are currently almost fully booked, and they expect good results in September and generally in the post-season when the current vacationing, mostly foreign guests will be replaced by business guests, given that Hotel Croatia is one of the strongest Croatian and congress hotels.
