Meggle Eastern Europe GmbH has become the 100% owner of the largest Albanian dairy Ferlat sh.p.k. based in Rogozina, on the outskirts of Tirana, Meggle Croatia reported today.
This acquisition has strategic significance for Meggle’s operations due to, as stated by the company, its excellent geographical and logistical position, making it an ideal center for the Meggle group’s activities in Southeast Europe. Furthermore, with just over 10,000 liters of milk purchased daily, Ferlat has excellent growth and capacity expansion potential, especially considering that it holds a market share of as much as 57% in the area of long-life milk products.
– Alongside production in Osijek, Bihać, Shumen, and Bratislava, the new dairy in Albania will undoubtedly establish a strategic position for the Meggle dairy group in this region and increase the market shares of the entire group – they believe at Meggle. Today, Meggle is a company with more than 40 subsidiaries worldwide, over 600 million euros in annual revenue, and around 2,000 employees.
