The ceramic and porcelain factory Inker from Zaprešić reported a loss of seven million kuna in the first half of this year, which is 106 percent higher compared to the same period last year, according to data from the business report published by Inker via the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Total revenues of Inker in the first half of this year fell by 26.2 percent year-on-year, to 38.6 million kuna. Operating revenues decreased by 26 percent, to 38.3 million kuna, while sales revenues dropped by 42.3 percent, to 29.2 million kuna. Total expenses simultaneously fell by 18.1 percent, to 45.6 million kuna. The management report, which pertains to the second quarter, states that compared to the same period last year, sales of sanitary ceramics fell by seven percent, alongside a slight increase in operating costs. The decline in sales is attributed to reduced demand, while the increase in operating costs was influenced, among other factors, by the rise in gas prices, the report states. (H)
